Just about every state in the union recruits Texas hard. It's never been a situation where anyone in the state just gets their pick of whoever they want.
In MS, Alabama and LSU take a couple of recruits here and there, but the state has been largely limited to State and OM. OM is irrelevant for the next decade, leaving State to pretty much own what is a very underrated state from a talent perspective.
