Actually Bost is academically ineligible for the fall semester and then must sit out nine games after the semester is over, which would make his return the first SEC game of the year, unless we add two more out of conference games like we are planning.

Did Bost have an agent before the draft?

No, his claim was that he did realize the new rule was in effect, but that he thought he could still enter the draft without an agent and return if undrafted(which I think is bullshite). The main thing the NCAA was investigating recently was who paid for his workouts in Las Vegas while he was preparing.

Wow, sounds like he COULD use a few more years in school

But will have to sit out the first 9 games of the season. Him and Renardo Sidney will return the same game in December.

If a kid missed that many games I would offer him the opportunity to redshirt.

He knew what was going on. He wasn't happy last year and it was obvious. I don't think Stansbury cared if he left, so I don't think he was given the proper guidance. Then I think both of them realized they needed the other one and it was almost too late.

He's sitting out more than that. He's gotta sit out the entire fall semester plus nine games.

So he won't even be eligible till SEC? How much of an impact could he possibly make then?

a lot. Dee Bost at point, Renardo Sidney in the paint, and Ravern Johnson on the outside. We're the same team as last year, except switching Sidney for Varnado, which is better. Plus we have our backup center back from injury and everyone has another year under their belt. We will be a very good team by the end of the year. We just have to not lose too many before we get them back.

I know he'll still be practicing with the team and he's a good player, but it just seems like it would be hard to get your first game action of the year against SEC play.

You're right. He's run this team for two years already. Hopefully he can get it together quickly. We have a couple talented guards that can hopefully hold it down while he figures it out.
