Statements like that are why this thread was started. LSU is pretty high in the all-time program rankings. It's more likely that those bad years were an aberration than the successful run recently. LSU also has certain natural advantages when it comes to recruiting that only a few schools in the country can match. Arkansas? Not so much

"LSU is elite, while Arkansas isn't" is a strawman argument against a fact laid out that is hard for Tiger fans to swallow.
Hell, it wouldn't matter if it was a Commodore saying it, a Hog, Joe Montana, or Jesus Christ.
LSU isn't what it was a few years ago and beating them seems like less and less of a daunting task each year.
Now you tell me why this is? LSU is still a 10 as a program, mind you.

That doesn't even make sense. ND has no geographical recruiting advantage. They recruit nationally off of name recognition, and that hasn't really worked out well for them recently despite bringing in a few highly rated classes.

Congratulations. I'd never dispute that.
But it's absolutely laughable to act like LSU is on another universe than Arkansas, when Arkansas is arguably the better program until the last 9 years.
