Are we elite? Of course not. But we damn sure more than hold our own and have transitioned into SEC football with far greater success than USC.

Dude, you do realize that LSU wasn't shite in the years leading up to Saban, right?
And you do realize that it looks like you are in the middle of the long, slow decline back to where you were before Saban, right?
You should be worrying about LSU, not Arkansas.

Agreed. However,after the LSU-Washington game an LSU fan on the Rant got carried away about Washington QB Jake Locker's talents and how good of an NFL QB he'd be.
Right after that a Hog fan here posted "The Rant says Locker will win the Heisman." In some poster's minds one fan = every fan.

Your place in the polls is more reflective of pre-season name recognition than the on the field product.
You will be lucky to be higher than #15 by the end of the season, which is great if your Arkansas, but since you are LSU, it points to the decline of Les Miles/LSU football that most everyone acknowledges except for corndogs.

Its delusional to think Arkansas is an elite football team and on the inlcine while LSU is on the decline after ONE bad year since Saban.

they love to talk about the 90's but we were a top 15 program at least in every decade from the 30's through the 80's. The 90's were an aberration.
