The funny thing is they used all three colors for the logo, but not the endzone then used the two colors for the Auburn logo but three in the endzone.
If this isn't hanging in the Mizzou locker room before the game HCGP is certainly missing an opportunity for motivation.
DISRESPECT!

Only reason it's not is that there were old rules regarding Orange and White due to complaints, mainly from refs and the press box regarding visibility. I'm sure the upper decks also had issue. At one point in time, UT had to outline it's orange numbers (on white jersey's) with black by rule because the numbers were too hard to make out.
IIRC, one of the big reasons there's a green space between the checkerboard endzones is due to those visibility issues. It doesn't help that a good portion of the male population is orange-green color blind.
It's not a rule today but it was for a long time.

That contrasting number stuff dates back to the days of black and white TV. This is the same reason teams usually wear white on the road and home teams wear dark colors.
Melted orange sherbet color and white look almost the same on a BW TV. However, given that now only gumps really have those any more, this isnt an issue so much.

You may be right about the gumps and their teebees but I'm fairly sure we didn't have to use black outlines until after color television.
For example here's QB Condredge Holloway:
As to sherbert coloring, you must lack the photoreceptors/cones to distuingish shades of orange. Like color blindness, it's common among men and even more common since a lot of orange-green color blindness is partial.
