The thing is Pinkel has 5 straightforward wins to start next season.
You won't win @Vandy.
Franklin is legit, and has a solid arse class coming in, and beat you this year at your place.
I mean it's winnable, but moreso this year than next IMO.
UGA, UF, SC, A&M will all be sure fire losses, and even @OM with how they improved into next year and what they return? Unlikely W also.
Pinkel is as good as gone IMO.

I hope you're right, Pinkel is the definition of a coach in over his head. I've also heard some grumblings he's got a lot of the big time boosters pissed because they were all in on the move to the SEC, and Pinkel was as well to the media. But apparently behind closed doors he was not at all in favor of the move.
Also according to someone who was a grad assistant this year the coaching staff only expected 6 wins and the AD is just not going to let us sink into anonymity if they have a choice. 6 wins WILL NOT CUT IT GARY! GTFO!

Missouri is by no means a "powerhouse program". However, there is NO excuse for Mizzou to not be an 8-4 team annually. I compare us to Wisconsin, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, etc. We should be an upper-middle tier team who goes bowling every year and has at least a 10 win season once every 5 years or so. Missing a bowl this year was completely inexcusable. Mizzou is in a state of over 6 MILLION people and is the ONLY Division 1 program in the state. We are one of the wealthiest and most populated schools in the SEC, and should not be losing 7 out of 12 games ever.
I disagree. Look at who you are playing. A 11-1 BCS Bowl Florida team, a 10-2 South Carolina team, a 10-2 (few plays away from playing the National Championship) Georgia team, a 11-1 potential repeat National Champion in Alabama, a 10-2 potential Heisman winner Texas A&M team. I could care less about being one of the wealthiest schools in the SEC. Where is the money being funneled into? Academics or athletics? That makes a big difference. People look into LSU's endowment and think that it isn't too much. Look at the money funneled into TAF. It's astonishing. The same goes for Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, etc.
As far as the Wisconsin, Arkansas, Oklahoma State arguments...well, in no offense, I really just don't see it. And in no way am I trying to "flame". I've never had a problem with Missouri and their program. I've actually somewhat liked them dating back to the Corby Jones years.
Arkansas has major donors and alumni, they are in a state that produces more talent than Missouri (Little Rock alone I would assume), and their facilities are top notch.
Oklahoma State...they made a good hire, have T.Boone Pickens, and again...top notch facilities.
Wisconsin is similar to Nebraska of the Osborne/Solich era. They benefit from a weak conference and they run a unique style of offense that they can recruit from.
I have always thought of Missouri more as a Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky style program. It appears that the school winning 8 games is a really good year, but they shouldn't be upset with a 6-6 season.

frick that we need to be trending upwards and not going 6-6 every season. I wanna open the coffers and get this shite going.
Also we produce more talent than Arkansas and have a greater population than Louisiana.

First off, the quality of your talent couldn't sniff Louisiana's.
Second, I applaud your wanting to win and refusing to settle.

Agreed, not even gonna try and win that argument.
My statement was moreso that we have the population base to build a much larger fanbase, and the school has been growing at an exponential rate with a lot coming from Chicago. We need to try and jump into that market and steal some Olineman from up that way in Big Rusty country.

Maybe Missouri has more potential to win then I give them credit for. Really, I just don't know much about the situation. Whether they are a sleeping giant, tapped out, etc? I do know one thing, money can make all the difference in the world (ex: Oregon).

I am not saying you are wrong. All I am saying is if he has any interest in retaining his job, dont lose to Vanderbilt again. Its really quite simple. Just dont do it. He prob needs to get 2 of Tenn, OM, or an upset win.
