lol - If I were still in one of my English classes at MU, I could spend time writing up an interpretation on the song.

However, in this scenario it is quite simple:

1) It’s a fun song to sing

2) F#%$ KU fits in nicely after the chorus.

No I really don't believe I need to justify Mr Brightside to you. Some traditions are born for good reason, some grew organically and some for really no reason at all. Some traditions have lived for a long long time and some have died by the wayside.

But one tradition that has lived for nearly 180 years and will never die is the hatred and loathing of the murderers, rapists, and looters that people from your state call jayhawks

It’s a song about being cucked.

And you sing it to your rival from a first person perspective.

It makes negative one million percent sense.
