I did think during warm ups that it was an excellent backdrop to hit against between that wall and the trees.

This UVA team is YOUNG. I understand now why everyone projected them to have a rebuilding year this year. Sky is the limit for them the next few years...

ACC was stunningly overrated. UVA is too young. UNC should be looking at their end of their season right now if not for an inexplicably bad game Saturday by SC. FSU is FSU (fraud). NC State is playing the worst team in the Super Regionals so they may just get to Omaha.

State will finish UVA. Starkvegas will be wild!

Yet, Nolan and Boyd's both had the ACC as the #1 rated conference. I don't understand where you're getting this.

Sure you'll point to post season play, but the results of post season play =/= strength of conference. These guys play 60 games and you want to judge the team and conference on 3 games in the Super Regional?

The ACC is a good conference, they just haven't had a lot of success in Omaha.

And that is perfectly acceptable to say. I completely agree with you.

It ticks the boxes as a better RPI league than the SEC because it has fewer overall teams with only one bad team this year. It's a good league. But these regional hosts are not as impressive as expected. The pitching numbers are good against each other but the talent does not look as good as the numbers indicate. NCSU's Rodon is a beast, but the other top starters for these teams are not so intimidating.

Clemson was nothing special at all. FSU was a fraud as usual. VT had a great year for them but lacked pitching. Miami is an also ran that gets RPI love by being in the ACC and playing in-state OOC games (like UF), but the Canes are no contender. UVA is a great program with a bright future but may have overachieved as much because the ACC could be had. NC State is decent but has Rodon and plays smart/hard. UNC is legit to a point (really great bats in the lineup), but their pitching also has been far less intimidating in the tourney.
