I used to think that no other coach in the sec would ever be as conservative as shula. kiffin proved me wrong on the last goaline drive.

What did you expect? Crompton would have screwed it up if he left it in his hands. At this point in the game Coach Kiffin was trying to keep Cromptons responsibilities to a minimum.

At this point in the game, a good coach would have thought about winning the motherfricker.

just a thought.

How would he win the game with Crompton. Coach Kiffin probably didn't even want the kid to even pitch the ball back to the back on account of him screwing that up as well. Crompton is terrible!

Shari Shula isn't bad

Lane Kiffin has a mangina, so I'd take him.

but, hypothetically, if he would have thrown a t.d. pass to win the game, don't you think his confidence would have been much better going into the next one?

The problem is that he wouldn't have threw a TD pass. He threw more passes to UCLA players than he did his own.

Sounds like Kiffin is losing control:

I have been hearing that after the game saturday G jones and Crompton had to be separated. I am not sure about what or why. I do know that they were very angry with each other and had to be separated. I also, know that teammates (whether it was some of the captains or just leaders) went to Kiffin about crompton and him expressing to a teammate that he "didn't care about the interceptions". The teammate apparently was upset with what he said and told another vol player. It was then brought to the open bc there are alot of guys on this team that believe in kiffin and what the coaches are about. They did not like the attitude of their QB after them game at all. Take if for what it is worth and If crompton doen't care about the season or his play then i say play Stephens. Good news is that guys on this team are not going to lay down. They believe in thompson, gran, Coach O, kiffin, monte, etc..and those that don't they are callin them out.

the tenn faithful, much like all other sec schools, are gonna get real impatient after they are 1-2 going into week 4.
