Tuck, we get labeled as delusional for even thinking we could hang with that 04 Auburn team. So many like to talk about how dominant that 04 team was, but in reality Bama achieved as much as that team with an NC to boot.

Exactly. The offenses and defenses were practically identical in their overall performances in points scored and allowed. Bama had TOP more is the next major statistic.

Campbell passing 188 for 270 passes and 2700yds 20 TD's and 7 INT's

McElroy passing 198 for 325 passes and 2508yds 17 TD's and 4 INT's

Ingram/Richardson 1678 yds 17 Td's/784 yds 8 Td's total of 2462 yds and 25 Td's

Williams/Brown - 1165yds 12 Td's/913- 8 Td's total 2078 yds and 20 Td's

Our running game was stronger with a Soph and Freshman, than Caddy and Browns last year at Auburn.

I explained it in the same post. Read more carefully.

Well here's the problem TxTiger82.

First you say...

quote:

Comparing teams across years is a qualitative inquiry, based on individual perceptions.

If you would have stopped there, I really don't have a problem. Basically you are admitting your opinion doesn't carry any weight because it is based on this obscure quality called "individual perception". Not facts or anything, just, you know, it's how you see it.

But TxTiger82, then you say...
quote:

Auburn put a shitload of talent into the NFL from that team

quote:

But, to me, at the critical positions, I see an advantage in Auburn's personnel at nearly every one

1. As Hunter has already pointed out the NFL thing is not an indicator of how good or bad a player is in college. That should stand on its own and can only be based on the stats they achieved in college.

2.If AU has an advantage at every single position over UA, what information are you using to come to that conclusion? Are you just making it up? I mean wouldn't you like to actually see facts that support your opinion? Or are you okay with just randomly throwing out your opinion without basing it on any criteria or standard?

They wouldn't have been able to run on us at all.

No doubt. And seeing we had the #2 defense in passing efficiency defense.. Campbell woulda got eat up with INT's.
