I am ranting off the fact it was a very dumb public statement. I don't think it is a huge deal, but everybody should realize that it is stupid.
People gave RP hell at LSU for coming in and stating he would be the starter his Freshman year. Nobodies with brains don't talk shite.
In the end I could care less. I was just stating my opinion which I of course present in an over the top manner because it is a message board.

I am jk. My opinion is that it was a prick statement. I don't have a problem with someone feeling LSU is Bama's biggest competiton.

Greg did not say anything disrespectful about AU or UT, and he was very complimentary toward LSU. Greg McElroy clearly has more intelligence and class than you.

Do I think he is a horrible person? No. I stated an opinion on that specific subtle knock on the other two programs.
I don't see how me calling him an idiot or a dumb arse for the comment is any different from what people do all the time when someone makes a gaffe.
People call Bush an idiot all the time and the guy went to Yale.

The guy on Rivals Radio was talking about the signifiance of the LSU - Bama rivalry. He mentioned Texas - OU and then immediately discussed LSU-Bama.

I am about to graduate in engineering. Also I personally am of the opinion majoring in something is better than nothing. I would never suggest a majoring in general studies to someone.

No where in the interview did I hear him say LSU was a bigger rivalry nor that Au or TN were not. As a matter of fact he said that playing LSu with the amountof talent and success in recent yrs made this a big game for them. So the guy says yall are who we needto be looking to beat and you think he is an arrogant dick/ He also said that having LSU, AUburn and Tn on the sched every year made it special. Did you listen to the interview or just take what you wanted from it?
By the way JFR it is nice to have a qb without the Bama bangs

To say this comment from McElroy is a dick comment is a joke and to keep defending your original position in spite of heavy opposition (even from your own fanbase), shows just how dedicated you've become to defending your dumbass statements, which is an even bigger joke. you made a mistake in your original comment. Just admit it and move on. McElroy is a great guy, incredibly smart and would never talk shite.
The only point he was making is that it was a big game. Bigger than AU and UT as far as the west goes. And he's got a point LSU is the most likely obstacle to us making the SEC championship. AU and UT are down. Now as far as fans go? AU and UT will always be more important from an emotional standpoint. Players usually have the luxury of not holding the same resentments UA fans do against those two schools. I hate them. The players probably don't hate them as bad as I do and I realize that.

Where in the video did he "dis" AU or UT? He speaks highly of LSU and then says with Saban being at UA, the UA/LSU game is as big as any other game he will play in. The guy seems like he has a good head on his shoulders..

I make a tentative suggestion, since I am new to this board, but Greg was in New Orleans, and probably the location affected his reply. To say "We have two rivals more important to us than you guys" would not be too bright.

AU/UT will always be hated with a passion but LSU will be the team that stands in our way for the next few years. Now that the bast*rd Fulmer is gone, I could see LSU moving up to 2nd behind Auburn.

Is someone watching a different video than I am seeing; the guy never says this! But to be honest right now the perspective in the west is LSU > AU they are the measuring stick, but it is not a a bigger rivalry than AU and he never said it was.
