That's not entirely true but Alabama fricked itself by leaving points off the board.

Exactly. Barring blown calls by a referee.. the best team, on that day, in that matchup.. is ALWAYS the one with the "W" when its over.

As did LSU. Still the better team.

Georgia players said the same thing after the game in '03. Then we assraped them in the SECCG.

If I were TM7 I would shut my mouth. After hearing all this honey badger talk I thought he would be the MAN. The only thing he'll be remembered for in the biggest game of his career so far is his cheap shot hit on DK. But if you read his twitter from last night you'd think he won the game single- handedly. Not impressed. At all.

Maze wasn't afraid to catch the punt, btw, it hit the camera wire and bounced. You can say what you want but I didn't see any fear on either side of the field last night. I got no problem with the players thinking they are still the best, you see, LSU didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. I'm not "butthurt", its just the truth - but scoreboard is all that matters and I'm cool with that. Congrats to the Tigers, hope they win the NC.

so you have to credit LSU for not letting him get IN his range

Exactly. LSU had nothing to do with those long arse field attempts (blocking one btw ). How many times did Bama reach the redzone? Once I think.

If anything LSU left points on the field.

Saban's boneheaded attempt of 2 50 yard fgs early in the game didn't help matters IMO

What should Saban have done? In both instances it was third and long against LSU's defense. What was he supposed to do...go for it? Foster is capable of making 50 yard field goals. He has before. He just had a really shitty night last night.

Mathieu struggled definitely. I expected more from him, but the D played like champions and he didn't need to have any huge plays.

The punt didn't hit the camera wire. The camera guys confirmed that it didn't (link is in one of the other "we're better than LSU even though we lost at home" threads). I don't think he was 'afraid' to get the punt, his leg was just still hurt and he would have been in danger of muffing it if he tried to make a play on it. Right call by him, unlucky bounce for the Tide.

The "Honey Badger" is a piece of trash. The guy is a solid athlete and a smart football player, but he is a total trash pile. I was at the game last night and from the time he emerged from the tunnel he was a disgrace to Louisiana State University.

Ahh..my bad. I just read somewhere that it did. In any case, he was not afraid.

Courtney Upshaw beat up a girl. Eddie Lacy was allegedly banging 12 year old girls his senior year in high school. But hey at least they don't talk trash, amirite?

Yeah. Its all class in the Crimson Tide ranks, though... right?
