Because Masoli is actually good at sports.
I don't care if you are great or terrible....if one is granted eligibility, then all should be. That's why I'm aggravated with it. They just pick athletes at random for this it seems.

No, they pick the opportunities that make them look the best.

So you do not agree with them reviewing waivers/protests on a case by case basis?

i find it funny that ole miss fans have the attitude that the ncaa is picking on them. i had a buddy, ole miss fan, say to me earlier that if it were bama, he'd be playing. well i think the ncaa showed they don't care who you are by putting usc on probation this year and bama in years past. my buddy also went off the deep end and said masoli wasn;t allowed to play because it would jeopardize bama and florida making the bcs title game. there is not enough facepalm for that remark.

They waited like 7 years to put USC on probation.
They waited until they had a shitty season and Carrol left.

So how many games do you think Dareus will miss for Bama?

I have a buddy that said les miles isat his best during the two minute drill...see I can play that game too

did they or did they not put one of the top 3 programs in the country on probation for 2 years and take 30 scholarships away? simple question. they got the hammer, worse than what bama got in the 90's

well there's a lot of ole miss posters in this thread that sound just as whiny and irrational as my friend is why i said it.

They've had clear evidence for the last 5 years. Yeah they got the hammer. They fricking deserved it. And they deserved it to be timely.

and masoli deserves to be punished for being a criminal

You guys are idiots for even comparing Masoli to the Greg Paulus situation.
It is a purely subjective test the NCAA uses in this waiver request. They do not have to grant any requests. under bylaw 14.1.9.1. Masoli had to fill out an affidavit stating why he wanted to transfer to Ole Miss and why he should not have to sit out a year like everyone else does. It was up to Masoli to have to convince the NCAA to give him a waiver.
Masoli's case was not very convincing apparently (shopping around for the only school willing to take a 3 time convicted QB who was just kicked off his team and arrested a few months earlier).

Then so do about 10,000 other college athletes.

still hasn't been cleared and who knows. dareus wasn't kicked off his team either

they are, all the time. masoli tried to use a loop hole to avoid being punished and the ncaa said no

Probably none or 1.
Dareus also has not been arrested for burglary, robbery and possession of a controlled substance on three different occasions. And don't act like this is some young kid who made a mistake. He made 3 mistakes and 2 of them within the past year. Even a thug school like Oregon kicked him off the team, but Ole Miss had to go make the SEC look like no standards trash and admit this guy.

Masoli doesn't know it yet, but this is the best possible thing that could have happened to him.

+1, picking up Masoli is stupid - comes off as a desperate move..

The Missies should never ever let SI do a cover shoot of one of their QBs.
Ever. Never, never, ever! Like...hide Nathan Stanley never.
