A batter can respectfully let an ump know he thinks the ump missed a call without getting run from the game. There are many SEC hitters you can see do this. Tim Elko is the one I see do it most often. With umps from all parts of the country. Gilbert is no Elko, though, no matter how much better he is as a hitter.
