but how do you move up if you do well (by vandy standards)? bobby johnson won their first bowl game in fifty years and still didn't get a sniff from the better programs
Gus is younger and more offensive minded. A few years at Vandy proving his HC abilities would make him a hot commodity.
Vandy would be a great place to get his feet wet rather than the MWC,Sunbelt,CUSA etc..

It's just nice to have assistant coaches who garner interest when positions open up.

Miles and his entire staff to Vandy.
LSU then hires Gruden, Cowher, and Dungy on the same staff since we all know from the Tiger Rant that they're dying for a chance to coach at LSU.
edit - forgot Muschamp, we all know he'll want in on the dream team.

Thats the stupidest idea I've heard. Malzahn would rather take just about any other head coaching jobs offered to him, but not Vandy. He would struggle mightily to get recruits that fit his system at Vandy. He would take another coordinator job, than go coach at Vandy.

Malzahn will go back to coaching high school with that pee-wee offense of his before he ever takes the job at Vanderbilt.

Who is currently offering Malzhan a HC job?

Seems like a fairly logical possibility.
Why, he's a highschool coordinator that runs a highschool offense. What would any college want with him.

Im hearing BP...
or possibly Tommy Tuberville(he wants back in the SEC)
...but Hootie will be the OC, if the money's right.

to Malzahn's defense.....his offense was only high school until he went to Tulsa.

Yeah maybe so (to where?), but right now the only HC job open is at Vandy.

My sources say it's going to be Kiffen. And he's bringing his Paw and the Ogre with him.

will it still be the harvard of the south, or will it become the usc of the east (no offense cock fans)

USC-East.
His downfall will be beating Tennessee.
Nobody would've cared about Vandy cheating - until he goes into Knoxville and wins.
