What is really going on here? All of a suddenly Tennessee is now out of the top 25. OU is now at 25. We should just go wait until late Summer/early Fall decide how the rankings are set.

I used to be a 247 poster for years before here.
I left once the recruiting sites started doing NIL valuations, transfer rankings, upgrading transfers from G5’s as 5 star transfers, knocking down HS 5 stars to 3 stars if they didn’t play much, like they lost athleticism or something. Then the competing sites own ranking, the composite rankings, blah blah.
In all, I don’t really follow recruiting anymore. And with all the new variables, I don’t trust any “blue chip ratio” stat that runs anymore. Which sucks bc that ratio kind of mattered to project playoff teams that have enough talent to run a whole season. I only accept a blue chip ratio, with transfers keeping their HS star rankings. It skews the data to mess with their original ranks.

The real deal is some blossom later and need experience to be a liability as a starter.
