Graveman obviously hit damn near every spot he threw at all day today(and in his other career dismantlings of LSU). If he was "throwing at his head", he would have hit him in the head.

You couldn't possibly be that f___ing stupid. The fact that he was in control supports the accusation that he threw at his head.

This is a student. An amateur. Throwing at his head is LOWER than bush league... it should be criminal. If your coach ordered it he should be fined and suspended.

It supports the accusation that he purposefully sent a message. If he wanted to plunk Katz there, he would have done it -- and he wouldn't have missed high and right by 18 inches(a "miss" that he consequently had zero of in the entirity of the game other than the one throw).

The amount that this has gotten into Katz, Mainieri, and your entire fanbase's heads is hilarious. "Criminal"? Yeah, just as soon as charges are filed about throwing at our (already injured) first baseman.

So the message was to quit hitting home runs? No one should ever purposely throw near someone's head. Say he accidentally does hit him. He gets a concussion, made to stop playing baseball. His life is ruined over some dumb pitcher and coach thinking they are making a point. The only point made is they are poor sports. Who doesn't showboat after a home run? Dude was hitting well this weekend let him have his fun.

The message was "you aren't facing Evan Gump anymore.

Actually he didn't hit shite after that so it worked to perfection. Graveman wouldn't have hit him in the head unless Kuntz jumped three feet off the ground when he threw.

But what Mangina was reallly pissed at is now he knows every team they face from now on will do the same thing to Kuntz.

The only way State can stop the opposition is throw at their head...

Awesome.

Did you folks ever find that bomb Katz hit the other night?

Prettymuch. And he got the memo too.

Ridiculous Ole Miss lawyer speak. The pitching side of the game of baseball is built on fear -- and it's been used by practically every dominant pitcher over the entire history of the game. He didn't hit him -- and didn't even really come close to hitting him. There are MANY things that are accepted in baseball that are borderline libelous if the "worst case scenario" happens. Your own coach(and every other coach in the league that I'm aware of) teaches his catchers to earhole a hitter that moves out of the batters' box or otherwise interferes with a throw to third or a throw behind to first(a lefty). How is that less damaging than an 84 mph(Graveman topped out) fastball? Yet, you never see that... u know why? Batters know to stay their arse in the box on those plays -- and what to expect if they don't.

People that don't want to get thrown at their next AB. Better question is...who will showboat after hitting a homerun against us in the future? Message delivered. Loud and clear. Hurt no one, hit no one, probably "fixed" a problem for the entire season.

Didn't read this thread but the last couple pages but at all the Miss St fans trying to talk shite. How does it feel to be fans of a terrible athletic program?

Must suck to not have anything to look forward to.

Next pitch purposely thrown toward a batters head, your HC will get a message from the SEC. Loud and clear

Lose two of three? Only a State fan would be happy about that. Speaks volumes about your program.

you MSU fans really are pathetic.

This is why you don't throw at someones head. I understand that they didn't intentionally throw at his head but MSU is bush league and will always be bush league.

What I gather from this incident is State fans are overwhelmingly happy with losing a series if it means they can high five a dude getting thrown at.

Good job, State. You are who Ole Miss said you were.
