Mag Dog sounds like nickname for someone who is about to, or has recently entered, an assisted living facility.

I can go along with that list...very reasonable based on competing metrics, imo.

ETA: wait, wait. I'd put ND #1, Alabama #2, USC #3, OU #4, and Michigan #5.

Notre Dame has the most storied and iconic name and image in all of college football, the most famous fight song, movies made about them, etc. No doubt, they're #1, I can agree with that.

You can't get scientific about rankings like this; it's all subjective for the most part. He has the wrong # of national titles that USC has, too (11 vs. 9 that he lists). Still, it's reasonable to a degree, but I think my own ranking is better, maybe not the best, but better....IMO. :)

Fifty years ago, I might agree with the list, fifty years later, no

1. Notre Dame- not top 4- one NC since 1980
2. Michigan- not top 10- one NC since 1948
3. Alabama
4. USC
5. OU

Alabama
OU
USC
Ohio State
Notre Dame
