It's not that he's Russian. It's the lack of "prestige" of him coming from USF. When we were thinking we might land him I was talking to folks about it and they turned their noses up at the idea of a coach from USF in general.
These people don't know much about how this all works. Golesh is a good coach. So is Silverfield. The SEC got even better recently.
