I'd prefer a read from someone who seemed less biased.

Not that the guy may not be right. But his verbage screams Bama or aTm fan

Thanks for not continuing our wonderful conversation about how you are too above taking up for friends in a bar fight.

Pretty much. It's the lowest possible charge he could face, barring the whole thing being thrown out. Like I said, it's a REALLY big deal that he wasn't formally charged with the felony version.

I wasn't literally saying he was. It was my way of saying he seems to be a little biased.

For all I know he's an LSU fan who hates Hill. My dad hates anyone who commits a crime, ever. And he loves LSU.

Okay. I'll take your word for it.

Well, I'm off. I'll leave y'all with the same wish that I left the first Hill thread with...I hope the young man gets a vigorous defense and that the judge uses reasoned and measured logic to make a ruling that is fair, based on the law, and free from passion.

Night, all.

If not getting in fights makes me better than everyone else, I guess that's ok.

Fighting is for the ugly people. That's what my parents told me at least.

Jk

I was just implying that he seemed to be biased. I didn't literally mean he was an aTm or Bama fan.

So you wouldn't take up for a friend in a bar?

Forgetting the probation stuff, what's the penalty for the crime he committed?

It would probably end up in civil court.

I'll re-phrase (using my literal example).

If you're friend were dancing with some random girl at a bar/honkey tonk type deal (Nashville) and was hit over the head with a beer bottle (from behind), and was about to get his teeth kicked in, would you jump in and help?

Just curious.

It was a joke. I'm not even a conservative.

You realize that he has been charged with a crime, and that has nothing to do with a civil case?

I would, but it wouldn't ever get to a fight. Being 6-5 has it advantages.

Seems like someone didn't account for the fact that cas4t would be posting in this thread.

It would still be in criminal court, but in a Justice of the Peace/Municipal Court setting (without probation hanging over one's head, one would be looking at a fine w/o fear of receiving jail time).
