dont even try to defend it b/c if that same EXACT thing happened and it was Au oline chop blocking a LSU player, you guys would be LIVID and going apeshit, and you know it

It's pretty clear that the guard is supposed to be blocking the DT, and the center is trying to back up to watch for delayed blitz and not get caught up in the chop block.

DT is too fast though, and all three are engaged at one point, but the fact that the center continues to back up after the cut is made tells you that the DT was the LG's responsibility.

Is that supposed to matter? If a d lineman is getting blocked up high and gets cut low at any point, it's a chop block.

Nowhere does it say you have to be engaged high first for it to be a chop block

Yup...two players engaged...Center high and LG low...pretty obvious

Not engaged. The C is backing up when the LG is cutting. The C engages after the cut. Not illeagle but close enough to call a penalty for sure.

LG already on the ground cutting:

If the C engaged after the cut, it is still a chop.

you seem to think if a cut happens THEN he's engaged up high it's not a chop block. You're simply wrong. The definition of a chop doesnt mention one has to happen first for it to be a chop block.

Two players double-teaming a defensive player, one blocking high and one blocking low is called a chop block, which is illegal because it can lead to injury.

After watching slowly for the screes caps I don't think the C actually ever "engaged" the DT. However, by rule, this is a chop block. Just not a dirty one where the OL waits for the DL to be engaged then dives at his fricking knees like you hillbillies have perfected. Our LG is diving at the FEET of the DT and the C just pushes him on his way to the ground. Not vicious at all really.

Agreed, i dont think it was intentional at all. But if you go and look at the Chaz chop block, the same exact thing happened.

Chaz and the center hit Dorsey at the same exact time, but you guys swore up and down that it was intentional just to hurt Dorsey.

Good god, you guys are talking about the fricking 4th and 6 where no one on LSU knew what the hell the play was?

Chaz dove directly into the side of Dorsey's knee. You see the play and it 100% looks dirty coming against our best DL.

But hey, keep being stupid. It's what makes you Aubies special

Please provide video evidence to back this up. I thought I remember the Dorsey chop being pretty bad.
