Lost in the playoff shuffle over the weekend, Vandy's Perry Wallace passed away

Wallace was the SEC's first black basketball player entering Vanderbilt in the fall of 1966-67 as did Greg Page and Nat Northington at Kentucky in football. Wallace went on to be Vandy's captain in his SR year, 1969-1970 and was second team All-SEC.
Oddly enough, on the same day as the famous Texas Western-Kentucky national title game in 1966, Wallace's HS team Nashville-Pearl became the first black HS team to win the TSSAA state title defeating all white Memphis Treadwell.
When you think of all Wallace had to endure from 1966-1970 playing in the SEC with the abuse he got and you look at these clowns on Sunday in the NFL kneeling, I just shake my head.

He's still #2 on the Vandy list (behind Clyde Lee) for career rebounds. As a 6'5" forward who only played 3-years...

I think CBS covered this in their broadcast.
