We have a home and home with Texas. We beat them better Than the score indicated. Here came aggies saying, “see, we told you they’d turn up the heat in the locker rooms. They’re dirty. That’s why we opted not to play them”.
You’re just scared, or not an attractive opponent. .....which has been the point of this whole thread.
I’d rather have 7 of 8 victories over Texas and not aggy.....there’s just no notoriety for beating a never-was like atm.

What makes it even better is that this is the ultimate moot point argument. You either have Missouri, A&M, and Arkansas in the SEC or you have Texas. Since the three that are here have no intention of leaving that pretty well leaves Texas high and dry.
Broyles probably would have held his nose and voted for Texas to join the SEC if they had tried back in the day. With him gone there is zero chance any AD from the group of three would vote to let the Horns in.
Letting Texas into the SEC is like the old parable of the scorpion and the fox. Both want to cross the river but the scorpion can't swim and the fox is afraid the scorpion will sting him. So the scorpion agrees to ride on the fox's back and refrain from stinging him. Halfway across the scorpion stings the fox and they both drown. Why? Because it is the scorpion's nature.
It is the nature of the Texas Longhorns to be lousy conference mates.

Still, you know, he might be on to something about inviting teams with lots of football national titles to join the SEC. Princeton and Yale have a combined 55 nattys maybe we should check and see if they want to join? I mean why let in a minor player like Texas when we can get the best?

I started to say this very thing, but this dude seems like he's about 15 years old. He has no understanding of the history of college football or what drives business partnerships. He is a child.
