How about we just go with something you know all too well:

We overlooked Vandy and Ole Miss...

eta - RE: Injuries.....another reason why I was laughing at Hawg fans who were shrugging off injuries in the preseason. Now is when you need your depth and you don't have it.

We're number 8 in the country. We've lost exactly 1 game. We have depth, just not all over the field like LSU. But still, we've lost 1 game.

LSU has not faced a passing game anywhere close to Arkansas'. Also, if you haven't noticed, Dennis Johnson has been tearing it up lately. With a healthy Dennis Johnson, our offense is balanced and lethal just like it was last season when Knile Davis came on strong.

USC might be hurting with the loss of Lattimore, but there DE's are as good as LSU, if not better
what does this have to do with the teams? scar is struggling really badly right now in all phases of the game. lsu is not struggling.

Like WV's success against LSU? Y'all could have 500+ total yards and still lose the game by 2 touchdowns.

Once again. Yards is the only measure that is a strict measure of offensive success.

Those 500 yards tell me that WVU has a good offense. It doesn't mean they were a better TEAM.

I can't believe how delusional these Arkansas fans are.

Their team is quite simply not that good this year. They are winning, but barely, and against much lesser competition. Honestly, I think they kind of suck.

Past years have no impact on this game.

LSU is going to beat the shite out of them, and the fact that they can't see it is going to be really hilarious on Black Friday afternoon.

Arkansas

2010 defense, 45th in the country.
2011 defense, 55th in the country

2010 offense, 16th in the country
2011 offense, 15th in the country

LSU

2010 defense, 9th in the country
2011 defense, 2nd in the country

2010 offense, 50th in offense
2011 offense, 20th in offense.

STATS STATS STATS

Our defense and offense are pretty close to what they were last year. So that shitty D held up last year. It very well could this year too.

Off to class! You boys have fun in here

our starting DE was injured for the Auburn game... along with our starting C, and three other starters (two CBs and RB) were suspended...

oh, and our best OL has been injured all season.

So as good as you are, would you be BETTER if those guys had been healthy all season?

Yes or no question.

LSU has shorter fields. Because your defense is so awesome. Is it easier to score on a short field or a long field? You have a good offense that is helped significantly by the position it's put in by your defense. Obviously, points are the best measure to gauge wins and losses. Wins and losses encompass offense, defense, and special teams. Yards is the only measure that is a strict measure of offensive success. Look at it this way. Let's say, hypothetically, that LSU had the best defense ever known to man and scored 5 defensive touchdown every game. That would be 35 points a game and at the top of the SEC in scoring. And then let's say that the offense was equally bad, never scoring any points. LSU would avg 35 points a game. So you're saying that the offense would be one of the best in the league, right? Points is a simplistic measure.

Like I said...Arkansas has a good O, but that doesn't win games all the time, unless you are Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. What I am getting at is that an "effective" & "successful" offense is not just yards.. Third down efficiency, scoring, etc. have a great deal when analyzing an O...our offense is not a super power, but it is effective and not terrible like everyone seems to think.

And also...our yards are down due to your terrific point of short fields due to defense...it all flows logically

yours is about the same as always
the difference this year is that lsu has had success offensively which makes the defense even more scary. the defense can take more chances now.

ark's defense is going to have a very hard time stopping the lsu run game, especially in the second half.
