Saban, Stoops, and Carroll didn't. They had absolutely nothing to work with.

I still don't agree with that statement. Dinardo was stubborn and a bad coach, but he did a lot to recruit and position us. But like I've continued to state, recruiting alone won't get it done.

No one is saying he did. He wasn't around long enough to do so.

no, but he was around long enough to leave y'all something other than shite....which is what he left y'all......y'all talk shite about dooley...but he was left with nothing playing in the greatest conference in america.....look at saban with a bad team in the nfl...just couldn't get it done.

Yeah Tenn was devoid of talent for the most part when he left. So I don't get it.

I thought you said Saban didn't win his his first year? I was assuming you were referring to LSU, but I guess there are other options available for him.

I am talking about LSU.

But from my angle, Kiffin did dick at Tenn.

Well yeah. He was barely here.

So we're on the same page as to why I would balk at his statements.

What exactly was he around long enough to leave Tennessee? He didn't ever have a complete class here.

he certainly did....lsu had a lot of nfl talent on the roster WHEN SABAN ARRIVED.....he wasn't exactly starting with what dooley was left with.

I don't understand at all why you think he was bulshitting anyone with the interview. I don't think he said a single thing he didn't believe, other than maybe him talking about how it hurt to leave Tennessee.

UT had the same starters on defense against UGA that they did against Ole Miss.

Janzen Jackson, Savion Frazier, and Greg King disagree.

The fact he believes them is why I think he's full of shite. He never actually did any of the things he stated he "would" have done at Tenn. Why? Well, maybe because he didn't stick around. Or maybe he wouldn't have been able to do it.

I have no doubt he believes it, he has quite the opinion of himself for a guy that hasn't done much other than garner preseason accolades and recruited well at USC this year, which I don't think is very difficult, but I won't diminish the fact that he's doing it.

But I don't want to hear about the success he would have had in the SEC when he jumped ship and never did a thing. It's bullshite.

You're essentially saying he shouldn't have had any confidence in himself.

I'm essentially taking issue with the idea that he is touting something he never did. I can make all the unsubstantiated claims I want, but it will make me full of shite.

I don't want Kiffin to win at USC, but there's really no question he's a better coach than the assclown we have now.

If he said he won big at Tennessee, I would agree.

I guess vague "on the verge of something special" can continue to be stated and not refuted. I am consistently on the verge of winning powerball.

There are other available analogies.

Regardless, good talk. I'm kind of sick of talking about Kiffin.

What he is saying is that basically you guys are a bunch of college aged dumbasses if you believe kiffin did anything good for you. I know that not all tenn fans feel quite like a few of you on here do though. Some understand the damage the guy did at the school....hell, you guys seem to worship this guy like bama fans worship saban...except that kiffin did jack shite.
