My perspective has been that Kentucky was a basketball school and football was a minor distraction leading up to the main event. What happened in that sport was not worth defending for the program, they still got their share of revenue no matter.

But stoops is serious about it being respected and fans are paying attention now. Now he’s under the gun and expected to overachieve every year.

I think he’s done a good job against the odds.
