Haven’t read the last 8 pages, but as a Texas fan I can tell you we don’t belong in the conversation of elite SEC teams if we can’t win the Big 12. Most UT fans I know feel the same way too.

The Huskers always had a crap Big 8 schedule. Not saying they wouldn’t have won those nattys but their schedules were soft

To me there are 9 programs in the conference that are on a different tier than the other 7. And that tier is based on the only criteria that matters: Do these programs have the capability of competing for national titles? Those would be Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. A&M is the only one of that group which has not actually won a modern era title, but I do think they have the fan support, facilities, money, and recruiting ability to do so one day....similar to Auburn prior to 2010.
