It is my honest opinion that ole miss could be 1-5 or vice versa for the razorbacks going into the ole miss game and both sides still would be talking shite. It's funny how each side is nitpicking each other's meaningless games. Can't wait until we actually play each other.

Mallett nor Wilson is going to pick apart a well coached SEC secondary. They'll be lucky to complete half their passes.
When you are done bobbing up and down betwix the legs of Moobs aka Hootie Dale, suggest to him they stack the box against Ark. later this year...please.

Why are you laughing, the one Snead threw yesterday damn near got took to the house by the Blue team. Hell look at the replays. The Sec digital network is there for all to see.
One game hawgtard... relax. Snead is an inconsistent QB at times, but Mallet still hasn't accomplished anything. No need to compare QBs after 1 week.

Michael Smith had 4 carries.
He averaged 10.8 yds/carry. Then he got pulled to get some other newer guys some looks.
You guys must not have watched the same game I watched. We got up by 3 scores and started putting in back-ups.
We used 7 running backs. A lot of the calls in the second half, with the second string, were just to get different looks at different backs.
Its what a real coach does in an opening game vs. a shitty team.

You would not see me on this board agian this year if we lose to Southeastern Louisiana.

I don't think you see Manchester United talk trash about beating Coca Cola championship teams.

There actually was a thread about that while back.

this is why I don't like coming to these boards. I have an honest opinion and someone brings Nutt and sex into the topic. This thread had nothing to do with Nutt.
It has to do with my money is on this offense looking like it did last year. Bogging down in the redzone, below average running and run blocking, interceptions, poor special teams, lackluster and finesse defense.

Look WMR, I'm not in the same boat as WRT.
I think you guys are a damn strong football team.

Mallet was throwing to open receivers because they, the QBs and receivers, actually read what the defense gives them and check to routes that will get them open.
This is one thing I love about Petrino's new show...He diagrammed a couple of plays and one stuck out to me....the 40 yard post by Coby Hamilton...its a safety read play that has to be noticed by the Qb and x reciever (coby), DJ Williams runs the safety off to the middle opening up a lane for the post route by Coby...just cool to see the coach explain why the play worked and what would have happened had the defense done something else.

Well shite, that's a stupid arse statement. What do you want him to do? Throw to covered receivers like Snead does and Nutt teaches?

It's called going through the QBs progressions and reading the defense to know where the fricking open receiver is going to be. I know that’s very foreign to fans of a Nutt coached team but believe me, it's common among the better coached teams.

If anything the Razorbacks showed more RB's than anything. By having more than Smith that will make Mallett even more effective. I know that Ole Miss can not roll in the backs Arkansas has. The key to me is the Arkansas defense, if they get going then I will say they are starting to contend.

First off you are an idiot troll that should be banned and I hate you. Therefore the homosexual reference for you and Hootie
Secondly we scored on every drive but two....thats actually kinda rocking redzone percentage.

Then fricking leave and don't come back. I’m sure fans of both Arkansas and Ole Miss would revel in your leaving.

We'll have plenty of open receivers when we play SLU in 2 weeks.
Thanks for the heads up on what it's like to play a Division 1AA errr uhhh... FCS team

And Snead should throw to them. Isn't that what he is suppose to do?

Mallett's second series, first play, he throws it from the 18 yd line and its caught at the 50.
The ball probably didn't go higher than 10 feet in the air. It was a fricking bullet.
I don't know of another player who can make throws like that consistently. I've seen Mallett do it all Fall.

No it isn't.
I was making the observation that Mizzou State's DB's couldn't cover Arky's WR's. It is alot easier to make the throws when your guy is wide open. Memphis had the athletic ability to kind of cover our WR's. When you play an opponent that can do that, I'll take note of what your QB's achieve.
Posted on 9/7/09 at 10:30 pm to inelishaitrust
I remember one play where a tailback completely juked out a db so bad he fell down without touching him.
It's just a 1AA team is all it is and a below avrage one at that. But I guess ARkansas fans are relieved it wasn't 28-24 like last years game.

The wide reciever caught it standing still, wide open in a giant hole in the zone. It was a great throw but I could show you a similar throw that Jevan Snead made to Lionel Breaux against LSU last year.
