Well when we already talk in tenths it is a big deal.
Also I have read 4.44 is his low time. They usually say he runs about a 4.50. I think that puts him in the same speed range as other big receivers.

I think people put too much stock into 40 times. His game speed is very good and he's incredibly strong.
These guys all run off the gun instead of an electronic system. That makes a difference since the reaction time can vary per run.
Devin Hester ran a 4.45 at the combine and he did just fine.
Darrell Green ran a 10.08 as his best time in college in the 100m. Justin Gatlin ran a 9.85 to win the gold medal in 2004.
Darrell Green ran a 4.09 - 40 time. Gatlin had a 40 time clocked at 4.42.
Julio is not faster than Randy Moss. Julio does have the speed to be an elite NFL receiver.

You are a fricking moron. I NEVER SAID JULIO WAS AS FAST AS MOSS. Moss has been clocked at like a 4.2 40. Motherfricker could be a world class sprinter. But to say Julio does not have "top end speed" is utterly fricking dumb. Anything in the 4.4 range is top end speed.

The guy that said Julio was the best receiver to come through the SEC in a while is an idiot.He is a great talent ,but that is pushing it. He was arguably the third best receiver last year and will arguably be the third best this year. I'd take D.Bowe and Josh Reed over Julio. You cant say someone is the best at any position based soley on potential. 900 yrds and 4 tds is GOAT numbers. Stop being biased.

This argument has gotten way too long and is going nowhere. I think the one thing we can all agree on is that no matter who Julio Jones is better than or not better than, he is going to eat P. Peterson and C. Jones' lunch this November.
