Will Fournette and LSU be able to run the ball on Bama? That's the real question.

Not sure what that has to do with Coach McElwain but the easy answer is yes. The Tigers ran for 183 a year ago and LF had 79 of those yards at just under 4 ypc. This OL is better and Guice and William are better than Hilliard and McGee in backing up Fournette. I look for the Tigers to top 200 yards rushing against the Tide with Leonard somewhere north of 140 minimum. The bigger question is which teams executes the passing game better. It's a toss-up at the moment, IMO.

I really liked seeing Mac telling the players, one by one, to keep their heads up as they were walking off the field. Class guy for sure.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not sure how I feel about this. Historically when other people hate our coach we are kickin arse and takin names.

Yeah-- feeling this could be a trap-- remember they loved Boom-- he was going to clean up Florida, make us hard nosed and "ditch that gimmick offense crap".

Speaking of offense- McElwain is basically a spread guy, if anyone ever wanted proof of the impact of Saban on offenses-- look what Mac is calling at Florida and what he called CSU compared to what he ran in Tuscaloosa.

We get an OLine like Bama had those years then we better be poundin the rock more. If we had a running threat like that just imagine what they could do with this offense. The future looks to be bright.

Seems like a good guy from the interview I watched. Loved the clip of him smiling and clapping after the TD on the fake.

Mac is running the offense he ran at Fresno State in 2007.

Amazing how kids respond to timely discipline.

There it is right there. Coaching 101. Gain the player's trust and communicate on their level.

My ears are still ringing from that Ole Miss beat down. His players obviously believed they were going to win that game.

It's still early, but so far McElwain is way ahead of schedule. The SEC Coach of the Year award will be between him and Miles. Welcome back Gators.

I'm one of his vocal critics. Foley was an arse hole that mistreated a lot of students when I played there. I never liked him. Maybe he's changed but a tiger can't change his stripes. I think he's too old, stale and a tightwad. Our facilities are one of the worst in the SEC. Our arrest record is an embarrassment and I don't mean just football. Our fans do not travel worth a damn. We are still a regional school when we should be a national brand. He has not increased the brand. UF was winning titles before Foley. Florida is sitting in the best location for top talent. We should be winning titles in swimming, golf, volleyball, etc. But who really cares about diving? Foley lucked into Billy and Urban (I won't go into it), which his whole career rests. Hanging his hat on back to back football/basketball titles a decade ago. I laugh every time I hear people claim he's the best AD in the universe. He's mismanaged money paying ridiculous buyouts on lame coaches who didn't deserve it. Time for a change but he'll stay until he dies.

Bump... Delusional fans thought McElwain was going to be the next Saban??? Foley fricked up once again hiring a coach with very little coaching experience.
