They're actuallynot 2 different games. They're basically identical besides a couple rules.

Just sayin.

I agree with you being the same on the field but it's not a couple of rules. Difference are in:

Roster
Where you can make contact on the field
Contracts and salary cap
What is catch
Replay
PI
The clock
Player eligibility

That's a nice chunk of difference.

Some of you people will go to insane measures to discredit Saban's accomplishments.

That's what it comes down to.

If both were available, and your team needed a coach, there isn't one logical person that would choose Harbaugh over 4 time national champion Saban. They may publicly claim otherwise due to the insecurity/asshurt/hate, but they know the obvious choice.

Too much for NS? Is that what you're saying? Not trolling either. That's how you're coming across to me.

Saban was a colossal failure at the NFL, whereas Harbaugh is making an instant impact

In college? Saban

In the pros? Harbaugh

I think that's all we can really say at this point. Saban hasn't had a good NFL team to work with and Harbaugh never had a team he could build a dynasty with like Saban.

Uh, I don't think it's so cut and dry as that. Harbaugh is one hell of a coach.

100% false. Young JH, with a Super Bowl appearance on his record. Why would anyone wasn't NS for a 3-5 year stint when you could get JH for 8-10?

JH would do great in the SEC.

I would take Nick Saban as our coach. I don't think we'll ever see what Jim Harbaugh could have done in college football. I don't think he'll ever leave the NFL. However, would I want Harbaugh as our coach too? Frick yes I would.

Are you serious? Harbaugh is a hell of a football coach and he has proven that. Plus, he's got age on his side. It's definitely not as cut and dry as you make it seem

Yep totally "knighting" for Saban. That's why I'm the one that bumped a year old thread to try and get into Alabama fans craw. I just think it's stupid when people try and make comparisons to pro and college ball. Mike Sherman is a prime example of how stupid that is. Had pretty good success at Greenbay got fired and threw up all over A&M.

Could be. There's some challenges in the pros that you're not going to get in college and vice versa.

Jim Harbaugh benefited greatly from having Andrew Luck as his starting QB in college. As an Auburn fan, you should be well aware about how much impact an elite QB can have at the college level.

don't be such a fricking homer.

Harbaugh took a team that was 1-12 the year before and beat USC the very next year.

Jim Harbaugh is one of the best QB coaches to have.

What about the pros? 2 different QBs in 2 years and went deep each year.

Are you saying Saban hasn't benefited from top college athletes? Really that is your argument?

Harbaugh obviously knew what he was doing when he took the 49ers job. They were awful before he took over and his impact has been unreal.

Am I supposed to be impressed? Is that the pinnacle of Harbaugh's CFB success?

Compared to 4-time NC Saban? LOL

Just checked rivals. IIRC Bama always recruits well. As in top 3 each year. But yea, JH had the talent advantage
