I am always hearing/reading:
"Hard fighting Tigers lose another."
"Tigers fight hard, but still lose once again."
And, "Tigers come close, but lose to team "x", "y", and team "z", in a sport that we used to dominate for 20 years."
We are behind in Football.
And, we are nowhere even close in basketball or baseball.
And he let both of our Swimming & Diving programs go to absolute shite. Those programs were once the cream of the crop in America.
Why is he still here? He is making millions off of our University right now, literally for nothing.

I disagree. He should be named AD for life and after he dies his kids should take over.

His resume is horrible.
Time to move on to another "opportunity", Jay.

Even if Jacobs is fired they will just bring in another yes man just like him. Auburn's athletic department is run by a bunch of incompetent boosters. That's why you will never sustain success like you probably could.

Nah. You guys should give him a supreme Court justice'system term.

frick Jay Jacobs. Maybe if we write it in chalk on the skreets in AU, the students will get riled up enough to go to their safe spaces and demand change in the athletic department.

I freaking hate that he completely ignored our Swimming program after Marsh left.
We literally had a dynasty. Recruiting was literally World-wide and all of a sudden we get the memo:
"Auburn is no longer paying that type of money...just for a swimming coach...we will find a "suitable replacement", however." -signed, Jay Jacobs.
Worked out frickin' well for us though, didn't it JJ?

It is not about incompetent boosters, those days have been over for 10 years. Jacobs has made some nice moves in the form of facilities and compliance/academic support. His problem is what you see at most SEC Programs the last 25 years. They hire a former football player who knows nothing about any other sport or has the experience to hire coaches for those sports. Those who fail are the ones who make bad hires in football. Jacobs hired Chizik, but he was taken out of the process with Gus. He hired Pearl, which is the only reason he is still around.

Jay Jacobs is Auburn..
Bama will be at that crossroad when Saban leaves. Do they revert back to their old ways of hiring a homer for both the AD and HC Position ? History say yes.

Foley use to fit that role, but he has lost some luster after Muschamp and the slip of the BB Program. Auburn will go outside the program with the next hire, and the PTB will be looking from the outside this time.

Can we give the baseball coach a full season? He was a quality hire but will take time to cut his teeth. As for basketball, the talent level will be better next year than it ever has been at AU as a whole. The roster was decimated over the course of this season. You also forget the improvements in women's sports.
But continue with your rant. As bad as the AU administration is/is portrayed to be, some of the fans are even worse. Instant gratification junkies.
