GUS would have won a national title with Saban's team

Malzahn took a preseason top ten team and lost the Outback Bowl with them. Looking forward to watching him do the same thing this year.

Meh, injuries, suspensions and an awful defense lead to that...

Losing Carl Lawson (gone for season), Alex Kozan (gone for season), Duke Williams (missed 3 games to injury, 1 game to suspension), Devonte Lambert (missed 3 games to injury) and Jermaine Whitehead (missed 6 games to suspension). Everyone of those guys were ALL-SEC type caliber players. I know all teams lose players to these type of things, but this list has a ton of players that were more than just role players or back-ups. These were some of our best players.

Gus Malzahn's offense held up their up of the bargain in every game not named Georgia. The defense gave up 31 points of more in 6 of 8 SEC games, which lead to Gus Malzahn hiring one of the best defensive coordinators in the entire country.
