Are you talking about the Chinese place up the hill, on the east side of College, near where the Old Razorback 6 used to be? (now World Gym)

Proformas and everything. And no, I don't know them personally.

I don't do a bar because I have a good job, and I am not ready to risk my relatively small life savings at this point.

I'll read over their stuff. Well, damn I was hoping you knew them personally that's how shite gets done.

Having a good job in this market is key and more power to you good sir. High Risk equals High Reward (Yes, you can lose your arse but lets not talk about that, ha ha)

Rich is just a stupid term. Personally, to me rich (experience) is the amount of knowledge you inject into other people. It sure is fun to kick the kiddies around here and who doesn't like to push the envelope in the cyber world on TD?

Yo would have to buy the lot next to it IMO though. Any place by old WRMC is a death trap because of hills.

Man, has it been this many years? I hardly recognize any of these names y'all are talking about...

Right on. I like their stuff because they show ways to improve the community, while making a profit. That should be the goal of anybody who loves Fayetteville.

I said I didn't know them because I wanted to link that as something I admire, and am not personally vested in.

And while you're thinking "bar", take a look up around the Square. Maybe go out to Vetro 1925. Center Street. That whole block is now thriving restaurants, and the other side of the street has some vacancies. The old Hilton is opening as "The Chancellor" in Fall of 2012, and the guy who did Theo's is putting a restaurant in the ground floor there. Total redo, opening it up to the street.

Lots of momentum on the Square, and Center Street. The parking situation is more friendly, too. The rents are probably cheaper as well.

WRMC is the former Washington Regional. That is a satellite campus of UAMS now, called UAMSNW. That's another magnet for the north College area. They are growing their student population, too. I'm telling you, that area has momentum as well. EVERYBODY goes to Ozark Natural Foods there, and they keep expanding. They are an owner-co-op, and just bought their building. They aren't going anywhere. Einstein Bagels redid the old Bank of America out front this year.

If I was going to open a small bar, I'd go to Center Street or the Square. If I was going to open a Bar & Grill, I'd go somewhere between North Street and Township Street.

Foghorns is STILL doing business there, and they are absolutely awful, IMO. But they are the only thing around, so people go.

And off the record, I have experience in restaurant/bar site work. I'm no dummy.

I know the owners of Theo's very well. I will certainly be there each Fayetteville visit for food and drinks like clock work.

The Square has always had potential and I'm interested in seeing what they've been doing currently. I'm just not sure what type of bar Fayetteville can handle. Stir didn't workout for bottle service yet that's the type of idea I'm talking about. Let the first guy fail then run with it.

However, we are still talking a college down gentlemen especially since Rogers/Bentonville wants to go wet.

When The Square and Dickson connect you'll have a serious bar scene like no other campus outside of Athens in the SEC.

The Square is more grown up. More retail, but still good eats. Vetro is great. I recommend checking it out. Damgoode Pies is on Center, as well. And Hjem is there, too. Add Taste of Thai and Oseguera's, Fresco and Hugos, and the Square is its own destination now. Not long ago it was Tim's Pizza and nothing else.

College Ave Foghorns = too small, dirty, and cramped. Mediocre food, too IMO. You can't get far enough away from any of the TVs to watch a game without getting a crick in your neck or having a seizure. The patio on good weather days is the only saving grace of that place.

I find it expensive, too. Especially when compared to Bdubs.

The Baum location is not bad.

I'm just talking about how there is not a decent bar & grill for about two miles of College Ave. And Foghorns exists there because people have nowhere else to go. Its Herman's, Mermaid's or fast food.

Or Foghorns.

A JJ's would absolutely murder in that area. Two big chain gyms, happy hour crowd. It needs to happen.
