Arkansas is a border state with parts feeling "southwest" and parts feeling "southeast".
Fort Smith and south is all cowboy. Little Rock and east is deep South.
Fayetteville is Ozarkian, which is its own little hippie Montana-wannabe bag (which is great), but at least half of the kids at U of A are from the deep south. The defined borders of the SEC have shifted. Its the new reality.
Fayetteville is more South and SEC than College Station or Columbia for sure.

Go back and read your post on the prior page. I quoted you directly.
The are you serious remark was to you saying LSU wasn't in the Southeast. Call me crazy I have always considered the Southeast, Arkansas and Louisiana east, TN and Carolina south. I'm sure there prolly are fringes of our two states that don't feel completely Southeast, but then I'm in NOLA, and other than feeling like its in another country, it very much feels southeast here.
But like you said it would never happen, so no reason to argue about it
Miscommunication.
I was referring to the South Eastern Conference... If FSU, G-Tech and Clemson wanted our spots they could easily take them.
Arkansas and LSU should be happy we brought in 2 close schools to play cutting our costs and we get richer.
LSU to TAMU 340 miles
Ark to Mizzou 315 miles
As for geography if it wasn't for the Mizzou boot it would be a smooth line across the entire southeast from top to bottom. I agree with you there.

Hey SunHog, have you seen the progress on the Centennial Pi Phi gate?
That thing is massive. I drove by it yesterday. Its going to be as much (or more) of a campus icon as Greek Theatre.
Damn thing is huge, and limestone, and it will look like it has always been there.
I'm excited to see it completed. Its like 30 feet tall.

Fixed it for you.
I never thought we'd have 2 schools north of us and one west of us.
I just want a Mizzou poster to explain how they will be better than Kentucky with the same geography and dried up Texas pipeline? They now have 3 SEC schools much closer to Texas talent with better tradition?

You do realize the largest fan base in Arkansas lives in Central Arkansas and not NWA, right? Little Rock is the same distance to Ole Miss as it is to Arkansas.
I always thought that Little Rock was in Arkansas, I'm so confused???

You sad little man... :shakes head: could you not understand I was referring to the University of Arkansas just as Ole Miss instead of the University of Mississippi.

Someone looks like they went tree planting crazy by the Gate. When is the completion date? Take a picture for us out-of-staters. I only have this...

Haha. Yeah, it looks that way. But actually, the Campus Walk has that same pattern of trees planted all the way to Bell Engineering, so its just a continuation of those trees and lighting. The whole thing makes a giant plaza from Maple to Dickson, behind Old Main. Looks really awesome, actually. And when the Ozark Hall renovation is done, it will be as beautiful as anything on any campus anywhere.

If they didn't break us up we could be the Louisiana Conference, we would have LSU, ARky, OKy, OKy ST, Mizzu,Neb, Minn, Iowa, Iowa St, maybe even ND. That would be a pretty good conference for one state......Suck it TX!!

This is bullshite.
Fayetteville is much better school and town than when I was there, ha. I'll give myself another tour when home for the Bama and LSU games.

Haha. There are already two rows of trees on either side of Campus Walk all along the route from Old Main to Bell. Its just a continuation of it. It will be one of the best areas of campus in a matter of months.
Go to the timelapse on that webcam and you will see what they replaced. Its actually really impressive. You will have to come see it when you visit.
And I gotta admit, I think the Marlon Blackwell addition to Vol Walker will be quite sexy when its done.

Also, the Hillside Auditorium re-creates a bluff overlook that used to be on campus where SCIE is now located. Its going to be very, very fricking pimp. Green roofs, and the top roof will be an overlook to the hills to the south.

I only see words on here, I can't imagine how you know anything about me, and I don't care to know anything about you. I just respond to things I read, and don't insult the writer..

That building will be something to behold. Even the Alabama engineer on this board loves that building. The large hills to the south are very pretty. I hate the south endzone covered those up for most fans.

Jerrah's net worth is only 2 billion.
Alice has a lot more. Billions is billions, tho.

Her sons wearing early 90's Arkansas Apex jersey's while passing out Dom at the tailgate (Ark vs Bama 2010) puts a huge smile on my face.
I think we should give her kids a degree as well. Play the game Long!
