Oregon suffered from the same fallacy — they're a really good, not elite team that benefitted from an easy schedule.

They got exposed by Boise State in the regular season and by Penn State in the conference championship game. We just didn't really see it at the time because they still managed to win.

I have no idea what happened at Ohio State to make things start clicking. They've had the talent this whole time, but their fans wanted to fire their coach a few weeks ago.
