Thursday a local radio show had a guest caller from BuckNuts or Buckeye Planet. The caller said that Mullen was the favorite of the fans to be the next coach at OSU.

Stricklin has a mandate. We will not be outbid for him! If he leaves it won't be for lack of money...

Think of this from a business standpoint. He has complete control at State.AD and big money boosters are not allowed to have a voice in decision making when it comes to the team.He is in charge of assistants and their salaries. He makes 2.6 mill a yr.He has won with mostly 2 and 3 star recruits already,so I don't understand the argument of him leaving b/c he hasn't recruited well for the future.Big time programs have Big time expectations with Big money boosters having a say-so in decisions being made.I'm not saying Mullen will not leave but I think MSU has alot to offer in alot of areas that people don't always think about.

No way in Hell Saban, Miles and Chizik ever have to deal with boosters besides functions where boosters suck their dick. If you think they do then you are out of your mind.

Also every coach wants to win as much as possible. State's ceiling is winning 8 games a year and then maybe winning 10 once every decade and going to ATL. Any competent coach wants to better his odds if at all possible. That is why he will leave.

i have heard that said multiple times fwiw but i don't see a guy with an ego like Mullen sitting around saying "well, XYZ is offering me a lot of money, a big recruiting base, great facilities and etc.but golly-gee, it sure is easy over here. Who needs a national title and glory when I have a cushy job, not making as much." Not to sound like a total dick but I think that most coaches ego doesn't let that happen. Grass is always greener.

Saban, prolly not.I bet Boosters will be with Miles if he doesn't win the SEC soon.Chizik is honeymooning right now.He has about 3yrs to win the SEC before the samething happens to him that happened to Tubbs. All this stuff is jmo.Yall made valid pts but I think my pts are valid as well.A little less conventional maybe, but still valid.

I don't really want him to leave. He makes everything interesting. Plus, id like him to have a couple of good years and then get shut out in starkville for the egg bowl on the last game of his career, which will be followed shortly by probation. Just like Jackie.
