Is the final outcome of this LSU fiasco the SEC leaving the NCAA in football?

I think you can make an argument that the only reason this has turned into a litigious situation is the NCAA's ineptitude at making rule changes. This rule needed to be decided 9 months ago while kids were still making NFL decisions. Instead the NCAA is hemming and hawing about working it through committees and generally wasting time.
First, we need congress to pass something to give the schools some legal backbone. Second, the major football conferences need to leave the NCAA and manage the top level of the sport on their own without so much bureaucracy gumming things up.
Edit: I see people make this argument "well what about the other sports" and I don't really get that at all. This would be like the club sports schools don't field for NCAA competition. You don't have to participate in NCAA football to be in the NCAA.

You'll see Moses before you see anybody leaving anything....let's get real here.

I think you’ll see LSU expelled before the NCAA goes away. Too many old men making too much money.

NCAA, and the SEC, can point the finger at nobody but themselves. They’ve been given ample opportunity to fix this.

The only thing making money for the NCAA is men's basketball. I would expect the SEC, Big Ten, and others to not leave the NCAA in any sport but football.

You are correct about one thing....NCAA is responsible for this entire fiasco.
