Texas is likely not a playoff team this year but hovering around 12-15 I think is fair.
They def have a bad loss to Florida but won every other game. Mateer played and said before and after he wasn't hurt. Also best a top 15 vandy. They also won those OT games on the road. Who cares if the went to OT they are wins. Every team has had close wins including some going to OT against bad teams.
Not close to a playoff team all that means is top 11. I'd say they are close. Some teams benefit from a much easier path, others Dont. Texas plays Purdue is September instead of Ohio state they are the 9 -10 spot and in the playoffs. That's the only difference.
