I know downplaying is the cool bama thing to do. But it has been the most anticipated SEC game of the year. This years iron bowl will be highly anticipated for sure

The networks have to hype up a game they are selling. The Tennessee game was much more anticipated in Bham and Nashville among all the Bama fans I know. Now that Auburn is showing life, it is the game everyone is looking ahead to.

Auburn actually has posed a real threat lately to Bama and can derail another 8-0 SEC season like they did in 2013 and steal Bama's spot in Atlanta again.

LSU doesn't really match up well against Bama like Ole Miss or Auburn
do.

I literally don't know one Bama fan in real life that is nervous about the LSU game. Teams with traditional offenses really don't pose a realistic threat. Especially teams without a prolific passing attack.

The game could turn out differently, but most Bama fans know LSU just can't score on Bama.
