Maybe recruiting will go better for UT in Feb. than it did yesterday. It seems to me that a lot of Tennessee's problems are self inflicted. Your fan base needs to get off Twitter and let the powers that be run the program. I will say that I don't blame UT one bit for not wanting anyone connected to Penn St during that scandal. It is hard to believe that anyone on staff wouldn't have known what was going on. That pervert was reportedly on the sidelines, traveling with the team and sharing hotel rooms with young boys. The rumors had apparently been out there for years. And JoePa and the rest chose to look other way. PSU should have been given the death penalty. There have been a lot of big time violations in college football over the years but I can't think of any thing that any school has done that is worse than PSU allowing this to continue. All to protect Paterno and PSUs squeaky clean image. Good for UT for refusing to accept this guy. But after that it seems it would have been better to let the coaching search be handled by the people you hired to do it instead of all the drama that social media, painted rocks and demonstrations caused. I expect UT paid a high price yesterday for that. Pruitt was a fine coordinator at UGA - we liked him-,but no one I've met thought he was HC material. I think UT has hired another Derek Dooley. UT probably could have done a lot better if not for all the negative PR erupting out of their program.
