I seriously wonder about that. For instance, I could never (ever) see a HC at Auburn or at Bama become HC of the other school. Fan bases wouldnt tolerate it. Then again Auburn and Bama have a "different" relationship.

UGA and UF hate each other pretty bad, but Im not sure its the same.

I like to think we have a 'special' relationship.

it's the same I can tell you that. We hate each other so much we can't even do home/home.

As far as Boom, I think he would be a long term hire if success, but we still have 3/4 of rebuilding to be honest with you. Though he did play at Georgia and I just can't trust that yet.

Florida is one of the Top 5 jobs in the country and it's not a stop over, Meyer just got lazy and didn't want to compete anymore with the big boys so he got off the porch and went to the lil 10(2). Where it's Ohio State/Michigan winning just about every year.

I didn't realize that UF was in the Gainesville that's in Georgia. Interesting.

Or is it that Athens is in Florida?

The HATE is exactly the same. you don't have to have teams from the same state to loathe each other. A non-SEC example and Ohio state and Michigan.

Great example.

Ohio State-Michigan *is* much like Georgia-Florida.

And neither are as hate-filled as Alabama-Auburn. By its nature, it can't be expected to be. The majority of Bama and Auburn fans live next to each other 365 days a year.

The same can't be said about UGA/UF or OSU/UM.

Saban has already been at several schools so this question has already been answered.

UF - UGA is a big rivalry but not like Bama - Auburn.

FSU is a bigger rival than UGA.
