I hope the committee will shift the focus in the final rankings more to "quality wins" the way the basketball selection committee does.

That said, one of the main places to put blame is the SEC and BIG 10 taking almost all the strong programs from other conferences and making the landscape so imbalanced.

The playoff has its upsides-- like home field playoff games -- and those would be even better if there were 6 to 8 regional conferences sending teams along with the at large entrants.
