Yeah at a certain point most rational people realize they're not going to let a bunch of 18-21 year old kids that they don't know playing a game determine how much joy they have in their life.

The sad thing is, I know people far older than myself, that care far more than I do. And I'm currently a student at the school I am a fan of. I know grown men that literally act like asses to their families for weeks due to how their team plays. It's disgusting to be honest. And that's coming from someone that subscribes to the sites and reads all I can. It's just a distraction to the daily grind for me. In the end, it doesn't actually hurt me one way or the other. It's cathartic to read about something that is inconsequential in the end.

No, I know what he means. I was only 6 years old in '92. When we won in 2009, it was just surreal. After living through the Shula/DuBose years I didn't know if I'd ever see an NC in my adult lifetime. I literally couldn't believe it was happening. It took months to actually sink in that we were the National Champs.

2011 was awesome and given the circumstances, should've been more amazing. But it wasn't. And it sunk it immediately.

I completely agree. The night it happens, I understand. But if your team losing a football game affects your mood for days or weeks, there is something wrong with you. You need to re-evaluate your life.

I'm not going to lie. After the PP7 int no call a couple of years ago, I was pissed off for a week. I had to go to work with Gumps in Mississippi. It was horrible. I kept saying "but there was a divot in the grass".

We got that call. And we blocked TWO game-winning field goals against UT.

We were a team of destiny that year. God (Bear Bryant) had ordained it.

It's been nearly two years, and I have not had a single conversation about that game. I leave the room or change the subject. if someone brings it up IRL. I don't talk about it, I don't think about it, and I never watched a replay or even highlights.

I just can't. That night sucked. Leaving that stadium sucked.

I was so pissed. I get pissed just thinking about it. We had this fat arse Gump coming into the PT clinic that didn't know shite about football except for how to say Rahwl Tad. I wanted to knee her in the chin.
