I'm a MechE. The job I'm taking is a little different than traditional ME work. They get military contracts to check out the resource consumption (mostly heating and cooling) at military facilities, do an analysis, and come up with the best method to improve resource management (whether it be upgrade/repair old equipment or install new sensors to turn the heating/cooling on/off during certain periods of the day).
