Saban is arrogant, but at least he's done something. Even his NFL failure was not nearly as bad as Petrino's epic failure.
Are you actually saying Petrino hasn't done anything? He wins a BCS bowl game at Louisville of all places and takes Arkansas to the Sugar Bowl in his 3rd year. Specially after the way Hootie left the Arkansas program. And Petrino hasn't done anything?

Bwahahaha! Nice comparison. Who outside of old Hogs knows who RC even was? That's like saying AJ McCarron is comparable to Walter Lewis at Bama. I would have picked another Bama QB from the 70's and early 80's, but, they all won national championships...something Calcagni never did.
As for your OL...time will tell.

This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Spewing inaccuracies to try and convince himself and others that the Hogs aren't on the rise and have become a real threat to win the SEC for the second year in a row. I suppose in ksrph’s “football expert” eyes the Hogs haven’t improved ever year under Petrino, didn’t get to a BCS Bowl last year, was in just a few points away from playing for a BCS Championship last year, etc.
However, all one has to do is look at the facts, i.e., the improvement the Hogs have made every year under Petrino to see that ksrph couldn’t be more wrong if he tried. In fact when I see posts like his I usually think it’s in jest because I have a hard time believing anybody could be ignorant as he appears to be. But, I do reserve the right to change my mind about that.

They are going to be good, they know it, and they want everyone on here to know it as well.
Nothing wrong with them, per se. I understand their excitement.
I would compare Arkansas fans on this site today to Bama fans on this site circa 2007 when they hired Saban.
They were super-excited and understandably so. But gd they were annoying.
In fact, that first influx of Bama fans is pretty much the reason the SEC Rant was created. The Bama fans started out on the Tiger Rant, and this board was created to give them a space to brag.

I know this will be hard but try and follow this. My comparison of Wilson to Calcagni was in response to a post about Arkansas having the most talented team in a long, long time (see below). Now I know this may tax your limited capabilities but the best QB to play under Holtz was Ron Calcagni and I’ve seen them both play and I believe Wilson is the better of the two. See how simple that is? Never mind, you probably don’t.
Petrino has assembled more skill players, depth, and overall talent than I can ever remember on a Hog team and he recruits better and better players every year. Hog futures have never been higher.
