Now if the job required a bowl cut and catching an alligator, or speaking guttural French and cooking roadkill, no doubt they would be the center of that universe. For goodness sake, they thought Brian Kelly was the 2nd coming with his fake accent and now are ready to lick Kiffin's arse.

Most folks outside of a 3rd World Country don’t enjoy Napoleonic Code Law either.

I of course agree D3 Williams can leave. I'd be surprised if he's anywhere near the greater Seattle area. As for monetary damages, it's unlikely UW gets anything outside of the cost avoidance of both the contract payments and alternative reality of keeping a "franchise" QB who has lost credibility in his locker room. I'd like to see UW, with support from the B1G, leverage this situation to drive some much-needed reform to this national NIL and unlimited free agency circus.

He can leave. Player contracts are very different than an employee contract.

Coach cannot leave without paying a penalty. Why should the QB be able to do so?
