If Lester was rated higher than MB he WOULD BE IN THE NFL RIGHT NOW. also every single mock draft I've seen has TM as a first rounder or a top 5 pick in the second round. He is an elite playmaker with above avg coverage. Every coach in the sec would take TM 7 over ER. You're showing your biased and hate for TM. I've watched every second of TM and ER play for LSU. TM is a better player as of now. Just look at TM production as a true sophomore. It's not close and I love ER.

Lester isn't rated higher than Barron, but the only reason he is fighting Macdonald for the title of second best Safety in the nation is because he had a slump in his second year as a starter, just like MB did, and dropped four picks. If it wasn't for that everyone would say Lester/Reid are the best, whereas now it is Reid and either Macdonald/Lester.

You do realize that everything he did last year, save the punt returns, he did his true freshman year? Also if you think the National and SEC defensive player of the year , is a liability, YOU DON'T KNOW FOOTBALL. Are you serious? Why would you want your CB making tackles? That just means our DL and LBs didn't do their job if the runner got out to Milliner, and it means he gave up a completion if he tackles the guy who caught it. He led one of the Greatest defenses ever in INTs, and we led the nation in three and out defense. He wasn't on the field as much as most other top CBs. He locked down everyone he played, including Hamilton and Childs.

TM does his job Better than all those players. It's just that there is a premium on those positions.

I know Lester isn't as good as Barron. I was responding to Bham Dore who said Mock drafts has Lester over MB. Which is dumb. MB is a beast.

No they don't. You have one mock draft that has him as a first rounder. The other day when we were talking about this, I found 8 mock drafts that didnt even have him as a third rounder. Just stop. Say he has talent( which he does) but stop saying he is a pest rounder, because Ron Brooks had better stats than Menzie and ran a 4.39 and you neve heard any LSU fans proclaiming him a first rounder. DMilliner could very well be a jest rounder, but AT THIS POINT HE HASN'T EVEN BEEN A STARTER, let alone a first rounder. Again, 8 mock drafts didn't even have him as a third rounder.
Eta: and I definitely give Bama players props when they are good.
