Missouri is the Crimson Tide of BBQ with multiple national championships. Every now and then South Carolina or Tennessee challenges Mizzou for the East title, but Mizzou owns the Eastern Division.

Texas A&M would win the SEC West every year. Ultimately, the West is an extremely weak division, but make no mistake Texas A&M is the juggernaut within their division.

Mizzou and Texas A&M face each other in the SEC Championship game nearly every year. To date, Mizzou has won every meeting between the two teams and moved on to win the National Championship after each historic meeting.

A&M has won a few championships on years when Mizzou was down, presenting an opportunity to face weaker than normal opponents (ie. South Carolina or Tennessee) in the SEC Championship game.

BBQ National Championship Titles:

1) Mizzou - 33 (Missouri's famous Kansas City mayo based marinade coupled with peppercorn dry rub)

2) Texas A&M - 5

3) Hawaii - 2 (they win a couple due to extraordinary smoked pork)

If Memphis BBQ is the best, why doesn't Tennessee have any SEC BBQ championships?

Well, Archibald's is the best pork BBQ in the country and it's in Tuscaloosa, so you're argument fails.

Are there even any good BBQ places close to College Station? I thought all the good ones were out in the hill country of Texas.

Ha, Missouri is the Miss State of the North.

There's a reason the world BBQ championship is held in Memphis

The World BBQ Championship is a sponsorship joke of an event.

Everyone knows Missouri BBQ is the best in the nation, just ahead of Texas BBQ.

None of you could compete.
Seriously.
Let me amend that ... you'd compete; but you'd lose.
That said, it's all good.

counting Ole Miss as Memphis BBQ, you're right. They would be the dynasty to end all dynasties.
