for some strange reason I see him ending up at Georiga. I think Richt either moves on or get's run out within 3 to 5 years and they go after Nutt.

Richt will be at UGA for a very long time. UGA would be crazy to run him off and Richt loves it there. He's doing a GREAT job there. UGA is recruiting VERY well lately, but may need a new DC. With Richt UGA wins 10 or more games nearly every year, and 9 even in down years. Richt has demonstrated the ability to win 2 or 3 conference titles every ten years or so, and Richt will probably get a National Title at UGA before too long. JMHO.

Seems to me other fans worry more about Nutt than we do. Of course we do have a coach in waiting if the problem arises. Yet, as I mentioned other fans are engrossed with Nutt. This is good that we have your attention and there is only one reason we do have that attention.

If GA has a couple 8-4 seasons in a row they might want to run him off. Or a 7-5 followed by 8-4. It's easy for any team to lose 5 SEC games if they aren't careful b/c of the parity within the league. Lsu last year as an example. GA's Bama loss last year in the dome was not a very good loss for them particularly when you get blown out in the first half at home.

he's done a good job there so far. I wouldn't say great. I think he might feel some pressure eventually and move on while his stock is high.

So, what is this deal about Urban Meyer going to ND? I know he was thinking about it when he was leaving Utah. If he didn't take it then, and took UF, why would he leave UF now for ND? I guess everyone is expecting Weis to get fired this year? I thought ND's schedule was said to be fairly easy this year and could allow Weis to have a winning season and mask the program's problems for another year (allowing him to coach ND in 2010).

I'm not so sure it doesn't solidify his position at Ole Miss.

I do not get the impression that Houston Nutt is always looking for something better. I think he may be the kind of person who would be very content in Oxford, Mississippi if he feels wanted.

You can say what you want but Oxford is a nice town. Ole Miss is a nice school. He's a big fish there. He's not a young person anymore (he's not old, but he's more than half way there).

I think he stays as long as he's moderately successful and enjoying the support of the Ole Miss family.

Agreed. He feels more at home than any other Ole Miss coach in recent memory, maybe since Vaught (not saying he will be the next Vaught, just saying he is really content with living here).

When Meyer's kids were younger he wanted to recruit within a few hours of home. He said he didn't have time to be with family and recruit Notre Dame. I guess after the year his kids will be about 5 years older since that comment

Oh, I didn't know UM said that. But, only 5 years. Is he a big Catholic or something?

I don't know what his religion is. Notre Dame is an all-time premier job and I think they are the only ones that have ever had an exclusive TV contract to one primetime tv station .nbc. I'm pretty sure they were the first program ever shown on TV.

I understand all of that. But, my question is do you think only 5 years is enough for him to consider his kids grown...and willing to go to ND? I guess we'd have to know him personally. Do the ND and/or UF fans suspect he might make the jump to the Irish at the end of 2009?

On one hand I can't see why he'd want to leave UF with 2 titles already, and maybe a possible third this year (as they will be pre-season #1). But, on the other hand, he may want to be the person to resurrect ND's proud history.
